As some of you may know, I was in Singapore with Argel (and Ige and family) for almost 3 days. The main purpose of the trip was to watch the Distant Worlds: Music from Final Fantasy concert.
We arrived at Changi airport at around 1:30pm. We then took the train to the MRT station nearest our booked hotel. The first thing we did when we left the train station was to look for a place to eat since we were hungry because it was way past lunch time.
The only stores we could find were those owned by Indians and we were a little hesitant to eat at first. But since we were really hungry and it was hot and we were tired from walking, we finally decided to eat at this eatery, Imam - Banana Leaf along Geylang road (if I'm not mistaken). Food was spicy and was served in a banana leaf. The next day, Marien warned us not to eat at the Indian food eateries along Geylang since there was a case of death due to food poisoning sometime in the past. Good thing we are still alive.
After eating, we walked to the hotel and inside, we saw Ige and his family checking in. We went to our respective rooms and after resting for a bit, Argel and I decided to go out and start our exploration. Since we were to meet the Castros in Harbour Front, we decided to go there directly and walk around Harbour Front Center. Sometime later, we saw Ige and his family and we took the Monorail to Sentosa. Strolled around for hours until it was time for the Songs of the Sea show. This show was awesome! Fountains plus lasers combined with great music... Legendary!
We were supposed to go to the Night Safari after Sentosa, but it took us a long time looking for the bus and we didn't make it in time. So we just ate dinner at McDonald's and I must say that the Beef n Slasa flavored burger was delectable. Yum yum. We went home afterwards.
Day 1 ends here.
