BBQ Night with the IML Cool Guys

Last night was, as the title says, a BBQ night with the IML cool guys at Sir Bryann's house. Sir Dean and Sir Arnold were there, also Gian, Winston, Jayrald, and of course, Bryann, and... last but not the least, yours truly. ;) This BBQ event was organized by the cool TA whose office is at SAL, Sir Dean. If I'm not mistaken, Winston paid for the BBQ we cooked, Jayrald shelled out money for the softdrinks, iced tea, and a little booze, and Gian brought french fries. Lots of 'em.

We had a very late dinner at 10:30pm. Conversations during dinner will be undisclosed here. ;p After eating, we immediately went to the TV room where we played the fighting game Naruto: Ultimate Ninja 2 (I must get that game). I came out the victor for a number of battles but alas... I wasn't meant to remain unbeaten. My fingers got tired of the semi-button smashing I was doing so Winston finally beat me. Anyway, great game for all the Naruto fans out there. :D

Dean was forced to end the story mode he was playing when the other guys wanted to start videoke-ing. I was given the honor of singing the first song for the night since it was, as they said, my 'first' IML outing. :D Songs at the start of the videoke session were upbeat and fast songs. We were munching on fries and then popcorn while singing.

Gising pa lahat for videoke!

And we were supposed to each have a can of beer - San Mig (mine was San Mig Light btw). I don't drink, and it was supposedly my first time to empty a can of beer... I didn't like the taste. After the third sip, I really couldn't stand the taste anymore so I set the can on the floor as Arnold told me to do when I didn't want to drink it anymore. Dean emptied the can in the end. :D

While Gian, Dean, and Arnold were already sleeping, our (
Bryann, Jayrald, Winston, and I) songs turned to mellow tunes when we had no more energy left. We stopped singing at around 3:30am. The first and last songs were mine, and I also held the record for the highest score - 97. Lucky! :D

Kwento-kwento again until the sleeping people woke up and joined in on the conversation. We left Bryann's house at around 6am, and I arrived home at 7am.

BBQ night was definitely a fun night. After all, it's not often that I see my labmates give their all when dancing while singing. XD

Edit: Check out Bryann's multiply for BBQ night pics!

Fanart Progress

O, ito na yung nangyari sa fanart ko. I'm stuck. Di ko pa rin matapos. Hindi ko nga alam kung tama yung mga shading-shading na yan eh. Tapos wala pa ring highlights and effects yan. Busy kasi. Tulad ngayon o, dapat nag-iisip ako ng topic for the 298 project, tapos pa-post-post pa sa blog. Hahaha

Punta tayo sa UP fair sa tuesday! :D

Fanart Again

I started inking this before Christmas break but I've sort of forgotten it amidst the engg week busy-ness, and I never got around to it again because of the long hours of holding a dual shock 2 controller (that would be due to FF12). But actually, I also didn't have the time to do it over the break because my brothers were hogging the pc. Anyway... I'm getting back to it and hurray! The inking is finished. On to coloring. :D

Naruto and Sasuke in Rock Lee/Gai-sensei leotards. ;)

I'd probably be done with this by next week... or the week after, or maybe after March when classes are over. Hahaha

Edit: Thanks to Dean for pointing out the guy thing. Yo Dean, you're the man!

Another Photoshop Creation

I have finally found a driver for our old Mustek 600III EP+ scanner for WinXP! Yahoo! Now I can scan my drawings again, and ink them, and color them in Photoshop - and that's exactly what I did this weekend. I inked and colored my Naruto version of my KH wallpaper. :p

This is a part of my KH wallpaper:

Spot the differences! ;) This is my Naruto version:

I know the coloring is a little weird. I have yet to learn a technique in coloring properly. And there's that issue of having different colors for the monitor, for the web, and for printing. So even if the color seems ok in Photoshop, once you save it or print it, the colors will be different.

Sakura and Kakashi fit Kairi's and Riku's positions perfectly, don't you think? And I know Sasuke wouldn't do that... That's why I made his expression look like that, so he's still in character. I got the Konoha background from the web - again I was too lazy to make my own. Kuya said Sasuke looks gay, Peyt said Kakashi looks like a girl, I said, "Ok then, next time - you draw." Hehe

Ultimate Ninja

I thought I'd never play a PS2 game until the English versions of FF12 or Dirge of Cerberus come out. Really, no other RPG seems to satisfy me anymore except RPGs from the FF or KH series. But, I found myself once again wasting my time with a video game, a Naruto fighting game. Actually, I am not a fan of fighting games - I was always a button smasher, and my thumbs tire easily. But after playing a few rounds, I finally got the hang of it... And now I've unlocked most of the playable characters like Hinata, Haku, Orochimaru... ok wala nang naka-re-relate si Winston na lang...

Painting with Chopsticks

My big brother, being a Naruto addict, wanted a shirt with a Konoha symbol in front. So he bought a white shirt and textile paint and asked me to design the shirt. Thanks to ES1, I was able to draw the involute of a line needed for the Konoha symbol, or the Konohagakure as my brothers say. I first practiced doing the design on one of my old shirts. Take a look at this.

I did this using chopsticks as my brush. ;) Hehe My brother said I should use a thicker "brush" when I'm going to work on his shirt. Hehe :)

Dattebayo!

My brother has become a Naruto freak. It all started when he watched the cds given by Allan dear... those were episodes 1-40. When he finished the 40 episodes, he bought some dvds to continue his Naruto viewing. Now, not only does he have a Kakashi (plus dogs) wallpaper, he also says dattebayo! every now and then.

Well... One good thing came out of his addiction. We now have dsl connection. Yay! It seems he can't wait for the next installment of the Naruto episodes from his favorite anime store, so he now downloads them from the web. Hehehe too bad for the computer though... it has barely been turned off since the SmartBro guys came here. Poor thing.

Next thing to have: a dvd burner? :D
