Sundo

Last night at around 7:30 pm, my aunt who lives in Australia called to tell us she was coming home for a 3-week vacation, and she would arrive here in the Philippines today, ETA at 5:40 am. Talk about short notice. Hehehe

So I woke up at 3:30 in the morning and left for the airport with my younger brother at around 4am (Argel was supposed to go with me, but three people at the back would be a little uncomfy - my aunt's husband is a little big, plus they have handcarry stuff). It was early, so there was no traffic. :D

I did not exactly know how to get to the airport, so I asked people for directions last night. Gordon suggested the C-5 - Fort - Bicutan exit - Airport, but I do not know the Bicutan exit part. Papa Jeff suggested the Baclaran route, and he even provided me with a map. :D Look at the map he made. It even has traffic lights, and SM Mall of Asia's Giant Globe. :D Thanks again papa Jeff!

We arrived at the airport just before 5am. We did not wait for long though because their plane landed early (ATA was 5:16am).

And now we're back at home. We actually arrived here at 6:40am. The car rested for just a few minutes in the garage, then kuya took it to work (bagong pintura lang, dinadala na sa office!).

Yun lang. Tutulog muna ako ulit. Aga ko nagising eh.

Matagal-tagal na rin akong naghahanap nito. Nung April pa. Wala akong makita sa bookstores dito sa maynila. Sa Pampanga ba meron nito? Oi dearie eto na lang gift mo sa akin. Haha

128MB lang kasi yung miniSD ng N80 ngayon so kokonti lang ang pwede kong ilagay na mp3s. Tapos di pa pwedeng maging cam whore. Mas malaki na kasi ang resolution ng N80 sa N70. Eto isang pic nung UNO night. Sa North Park na to though. (Actually tong miniSD mabibili ko naman. Out of stock nga lang parati sa mga napupuntahan kong CD-R King.)

Artistahing Argel

Isa sa mga tita ko, si Auntie Susa, na nag-alaga sa akin nung bata pa ako ay dumating dito sa bahay namin kahapon. Siya yung nag-alaga sa akin sa probinsya nung kinder hanggang mga grade 3 ko siguro. Eh kanina, nagkaroon kami ng conversation na ganito:

Auntie Susa: O, asan na si ano... Yung si... Sepillo ba yun? Asan na siya?
Ako: Ha? Wala na po kami, break na, matagal na.
Auntie Susa: Ha? Bakit naman?
Ako: Ehhh... Iniwan ako eh. Hehehehe
Auntie Susa: Ah talaga? Ay hayaan mo na. Siya naman ang nawalan. Eh ang ganda ganda mo... Saka mabait pa. Wag kang mag-alala makakahanap ka rin...
Ako: Ah opo, meron na po (sabay turo sa wallpaper ng laptop na si Argel). :D Eto po o, si Argel. :D
Auntie Susa: (gulat na gulat) Ha?! (sabay tayo at tiningnan nang mabuti ang wallpaper) Seryoso ka ba?!
Ako: Ha? Opo, seryoso ako... Bakit po?
Auntie Susa: Akala ko artista!
Ako: (ako naman ang gulat na gulat pero natutuwa syempre hehe) Talaga? Hindi yan artista, siya talaga yan! Seryoso kayo dun? Naku matutuwa yun pag nalaman niya. :D

Gifts

Welcome-back-winston-01-get-together last night at Kroc Grille Shangri-La. People who were there: Winston, Liz, Lara, Kyle, Yugs, Dyan, Jeff, Norman, Arpee, Ige, Danes, Niño, Marien, and ArgElma. Winston is still Winston, though he has this new hairstyle. Haha Deh, medyo mahaba lang buhok niya than the normal hairstyles he sported in the past. :D And and and he gave me a Naruto comic book from Japan. :D I love it! (even though I can't understand what is written in the pages :p) I think I should resume my Nihongo self-study. Thanks again Winston! :D

Nakakatawa lang kagabi, after eating, we were supposed to go to Starbucks and you know... make tambay (yak so coño) and have coffee (for the sticker collectors). So we walked from Shangri-La to the Starbucks megastrip. And then pagdating dun, as in exactly the right moment na nakarating kami sa harap ng Starbucks, manong guard turned the sign to "Closed." Boo-ness. In Ige's terms, kumusta naman? Naglakad pa kami, malayo rin yun. Tsk.

And and and, another gift I received last night was Avenue Q tickets from Argel! Yay! :D We're gonna watch it on Dec 15 at RCBC Plaza. I'm sooooo excited! :D Thanks sooooo much dearie! :x

Ay. On another note. Last night, I came to understand that no matter how tough people may seem, they do get scared. As in. ;)

Nye!

Last Saturday night, Charles celebrated his 230th birthday with us, his dear high school friends, at dampa somewhere in MoA area.

After eating, we were supposed to go to Global Fun, but because of our full stomachs, we decided not to go in since we won't be able to ride the attractions (actually, ayaw lang ng mga boys kasi takot sila dun sa rides, especially the one na nagtri-360 degrees na ikot). So Starbucks na lang, hinintay namin ang 12mn for Charles birthday (Dec 2 kasi talaga ang birthday niya).

That's it. Sayang lang wala si dearie, namiss ko tuloy siya nun kasi wala akong ma-manyak... I mean, ma-hug. Hehe

Baking

I tried baking using the microwave recently. My first try: brownies. Doesn't look appetizing, eh? Er... it tastes ok if you ask me. :s

This I baked yesterday. Twice baked potatoes. Mami and my brothers said it was delicious. :D Yay! :D Mukha lang di masarap sa picture, pero masarap nga yan. :P

Hmmm... what shall I try next? :D

BBQ Night with the IML Cool Guys

Last night was, as the title says, a BBQ night with the IML cool guys at Sir Bryann's house. Sir Dean and Sir Arnold were there, also Gian, Winston, Jayrald, and of course, Bryann, and... last but not the least, yours truly. ;) This BBQ event was organized by the cool TA whose office is at SAL, Sir Dean. If I'm not mistaken, Winston paid for the BBQ we cooked, Jayrald shelled out money for the softdrinks, iced tea, and a little booze, and Gian brought french fries. Lots of 'em.

We had a very late dinner at 10:30pm. Conversations during dinner will be undisclosed here. ;p After eating, we immediately went to the TV room where we played the fighting game Naruto: Ultimate Ninja 2 (I must get that game). I came out the victor for a number of battles but alas... I wasn't meant to remain unbeaten. My fingers got tired of the semi-button smashing I was doing so Winston finally beat me. Anyway, great game for all the Naruto fans out there. :D

Dean was forced to end the story mode he was playing when the other guys wanted to start videoke-ing. I was given the honor of singing the first song for the night since it was, as they said, my 'first' IML outing. :D Songs at the start of the videoke session were upbeat and fast songs. We were munching on fries and then popcorn while singing.

And we were supposed to each have a can of beer - San Mig (mine was San Mig Light btw). I don't drink, and it was supposedly my first time to empty a can of beer... I didn't like the taste. After the third sip, I really couldn't stand the taste anymore so I set the can on the floor as Arnold told me to do when I didn't want to drink it anymore. Dean emptied the can in the end. :D

While Gian, Dean, and Arnold were already sleeping, our (Bryann, Jayrald, Winston, and I) songs turned to mellow tunes when we had no more energy left. We stopped singing at around 3:30am. The first and last songs were mine, and I also held the record for the highest score - 97. Lucky! :D

Kwento-kwento again until the sleeping people woke up and joined in on the conversation. We left Bryann's house at around 6am, and I arrived home at 7am.

BBQ night was definitely a fun night. After all, it's not often that I see my labmates give their all when dancing while singing. XD

24 Hours

I woke up at 4am yesterday to get ready for the 2007 Engineering Recognition Rites (Enggchoir sang the national anthem, go the distance, and UP naming mahal). Hung out with Norman and Fil at PEL in the afternoon before we went to Kamayan for Norman's graduation dinner. Oh... and Dyan, Fil, and I bought him a couple of Bench underwear for his graduation. :D Though there were awkward moments at our table, people (two persons in particular) warmed up to each other (again) somehow and I can say that... Dinner was great. :D Ige, Liz, Dyan, Emil, Fil, Danes, May, Arpee, Jim, and Niña and younger Circuit mems were there.

Then the 01s (except for May who went home ahead of us) went to Tiendesitas after dinner. Engr. Pugoy's treat ;). I had like... how many bottles of beer? I was so drunk I can't really remember...

I emptied a bottle! Nyahahaha

Hehehe joke lang. I didn't drink. I don't drink. Liz, Ige, and I just had mango shakes. :) Everybody else had beer. We stayed there until maybe 1 or 2 in the morning.

And then we went to Something Fishy for breakfast. Still Engr. Pugoy's treat ;). I wasn't hungry when we arrived so I just sat there and listened to people's stories. When I finally had some space again in my stomach for food, I ate breakfast. I suppose I was really sleepy after eating - I fell asleep at the table. They woke me up when it was time to go. I think this was around 3:45am.

I was supposed to be dropped off at Katipunan, but then someone asked me if I would be ok - I said yes. Then someone said something about nakatatakot naman and about me being matapang - I said, "Natakot naman ako...". Good thing Ige was kind enough to drive me all the way to Sta. Lucia. :) I have such good friends. :)

So I arrived home around 4am. I got ready for bed and went to sleep. One full day awake and I was in a dress. Even worse - I was in high heels. T_T My feet still hurt.

Hmm... after rereading the post, I realized I didn't actually mention anything we talked about (except for the nakatatakot thing). I guess the conversations were too personal or controversial for the bloggosphere to know (as Rex would say it hehe). :)

Norman, thanks for the stay at PEL and the dinner! And Emil, thanks for the breakfast and the mango shake! Ige, thanks for the drive home! :)

01 Outing

Meeting time: 6pm yesterday at Tropical Hut near Sta. Lucia.
My time of arrival: 6:15pm. :p
The only one who promptly arrived at 6pm: Marien (JM was there too pala, though hindi sumama sa outing). :D
Other 01s in order of appearance (if I remember it right, ganyan yung order ng pagdating nila): Ghe, Kelly and Ron, Dyna, Kuya Yugs, May and Onin, Winston, Norman and Beth, Fil, Liz, Ige, Danyel (sa resort na humabol).

After dinner at Tropical Hut (high-end!), we went to the resort inside the village first. There were too many people though so we decided to go to Loreland Farm Resort in Antipolo. We were split into three groups, two went with Ige and May (they have cars :P) and one went to travel by cab. I was put in the cab group (with Norman, Kuya Yugs, and Winston) since I already know where the place is and I can give manong drayber directions.

In the cab, I was either laughing at anyone's hirit, or telling manong drayber which way to go. Ang kulit ni manong eh, di yata naniniwala na alam ko yung papunta sa place... Sabi niya baka raw maligaw at ayaw niya mawala dun blah blah blah. Anyway, we arrived at Loreland without getting lost (unlike the other group... hehehe).

After getting parking spaces for May and Ige (galing ni Ige mag-parallel park sa masikip na space! haha kumusta naman ang tagaktak ng pawis?!), we went to the designated 'shades' for us somewhere in the corner of Loreland. Convenient spot. May shower room sa tabi namin, kahit na walang bulb yung sa Men's cr, na na-solusyonan naman ng mga butihing inhinyero.

And then we talked. Topics of discussion went from Bokbok and Poknat, to (as usual) Ige's magic tricks, to Liz's makulit na student and the terrifying date experience, to Ige's pagbabanda and trip to Singapore, to people's work, to ECE board exams, to 01 and beyond people, to high blood pressures, to winks... etc etc etc. We were munching Winston's pasalubong from Baguio while we talked: lengua, chocoflakes, and passion fruit. :D When Danyel finally arrived, we also had burgers.

Tapos swimming na! We changed into swimwear and looked for a not-so-over-populated-pool. The water was darn cold. I don't know how long we stayed in the water, but I left the pool with Liz and Danes when we couldn't bear the cold water anywmore. Oh, and I had a gulp of pool water. Ewwwwness. Topics of discussion in the pool: pigs, onin's chin (or the lack of it), floating, pda, abs, urine, number 2, height... etc etc etc. Marien and May didn't swim pala. :) They just stayed in the car and slept. :D

And then shower time na. And kwentuhan ulit dun sa shades. Yung iba, natulog. :) Around 6am, we left Loreland. Fil, Beth, Dyna, Marien, and Onin were with May and went home. I was with Ron, Kelly, Ghe, and Norman in Ige's car; they stayed at the house for a while. Liz, Winston, Kuya Yugs, and Danyel took public utility vehicles to our house too.

Around 7:30am, we had Jollibee's beef tapa for breakfast. And also some watermelon. After eating, those who were sleepy took power naps, the others toyed with Ige's PSP-ing maganda or played the piano and the guitar. Winston finished the piano lessons for beginners book in 30 minutes. :D Among the his favorites (I think) are the pieces Mary had a Little Lamb, and Old McDonald, especially the part "With a quack quack here And a quack quack there, Here a quack, there a quack, Everywhere a quack quack" Hahahaha.

At 10am, they left the house, and I slept.

End of 01 outing. I missed those guys. Sayang talaga walang may dala ng digicam. Sana meron ulit next time, at sana hindi overnight para naman hindi puyatan. :p

Bugger Bugger Bugger

I have 3 paper reading assignments and a project all due tomorrow... but what was I doing the whole day? I've been out with circuit mems Norman, Lew, Enteng, Kel, Ezmo, and Gepol and naki-fiesta at Cai's house somewhere in Taytay, Rizal. We conveniently arrived at the house during lunch time :D. After eating, we had a movie marathon (Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo, My Bestfriend's Wedding, and Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest). I enjoyed the movie marathon, but the "interrogation" part after the movies was even better ;).

Saturday Night at Fridays

Late January birthday celebrants of my high school barkada took us out to dinner at Fridays. These are the birthday boys, Bogs and Marlo. Sweet nila no? Hahaha

And these are the beautiful girls. Especially the one at the far right. Hehe joke! From left to right, Paula (Marlo's girlfriend), Jaki (Bogs' girlfriend), Lyka, Erthen (Charles' girlfriend - wala sa pictures kasi siya yung photographer), and me. :D Everybody is working already except me and Lyka, who is also an MS student at UPD. Special Education yata, or something like that. Hmm... single ang mga nag-aaral pa sa UP ah. Hehe

After the sumptuous dinner, we went to our house and talked. Mga 9pm yun. As in pagdating sa bahay, umupo, and then one started talking about high school days... and then bigla na lang 11:30pm na! Time really flies when you're enjoying. Hehe Although nung dumating sa part ng lovelife interrogation... so sad... huhuhu... joke lang! Sabi lang nila, if someone's making porma to me na, dapat makilala nila kasi dati hindi nila nakilala si Gordon. Hahaha

Ayun. Reminiscing high school days. Haaay I missed these guys. :D

Last night, our family went to Eastwood for dinner. Nagyaya sina mami at dadi eh. Na-weirdohan nga kami ni kuya kasi usually ayaw nila kumain sa labas kasi magastos, tapos kagabi sa Eastwood pa nagpakain. Sabi ni mami nanalo raw si dadi sa lotto kaya nagcelebrate. Haha mas na-weirdohan pa kami ni kuya kasi parang joke lang. Anyway, totoo man o hinde, ayos lang, masarap yung dinner. :D

We have another puppy. Bigay ulit ng kapitbahay. We named the new pet 'Angelo.' Rinoa from FF8 has a dog named Angelo, eh kakulay niya yun kaya Angelo ang pinangalan.

Umalis na nga pala ulit si dadi. Babalik ulit dito sa... hindi ko alam kung kelan.

15 Hours of Sleep

3 hours less from last year's 18 hours of sleep after the circuit party. Buti na lang na-move yung IML party to last Thursday. Eh di hindi na naman sana ako nakapunta kung Saturday night yun. Tapos same reason pa - dahil hindi ako nagising. Haha

Anyway... Engg week is over. Yehey! Engg week was fun... until the Runway event started. Being cooped up for almost 2 days at engg 5th floor was not my idea of fun. And everything about the event was just wrong. The material for the dress was like... Kumusta naman? Color combination of brown, yellow, and orange - very stylish. One sewing machine for all participants. Great. And if you bring your own machine, you have to share it with other orgs - meaning 'pipila' ka rin para gumamit ng sarili mong sewing machine. 60 EWOC points for the 1st place. Wow. Encouraging indeed. Next year dapat wala ng ganitong event.

Miss Engg was, as usual, a blast. Dun lang sa event na yun ako napasigaw at napa-cheer for Circuit. I was not able to watch the whole event though - I had to go backstage to help the mommies dress Raffy up with the dress we did for the Runway. Backstage, you won't hear boos and cheers. Instead, your ears will get tired of hearing smile Raffy, tingin sa judges Raffy, project Raffy, kiss and smile Raffy, pose like this Raffy...

All I can say is... the mommies Nikki, Sarah, and Tintin (may nakalimutan pa ba ako?) did a very good job. Galing niyo! :D

And 1st Runner-up is not bad. Remember, it's a very important title to hold since you know... in case something happens to the current Miss Engg and can't continue her reign blah blah blah hahaha. Ang ganda-ganda ni Raffy!
