Favorite Wedding/Tagaytay Pics

:D" Taken by Norman.
Eto naman, parang OFW pic ang dating. Hehe Taken by Norman again.
Taken by Jim.
Eto kasi... Yihee! Sayang walang akbay. :D Taken by Cholle.
Hehehe Taken by Cholle again.
Yan pa lang yung mga nakita ko. Meron pa kasing di nag-a-upload ng pics. :p

At meron pala akong least favorite pic. :'-(

Happy Holidays!

Belated Merry Christmas to everyone! Haha What a late greeting. :p I wasn't able to greet people on Christmas eve due to a power interruption which only affected two houses in our village (our house and our neighbor's across the street). :( My N80 phone had no battery then, and the alternate phone I was using had no contacts in it so I wasn't able to send a christmas message to my friends. Sorry!

And since we had no electricity, we had to eat Noche Buena by candlelight! The Meralco people were able to fix the faulty line 1.8 hours after we called their hotline. I think that was pretty fast, considering it was Christmas eve.

Then on the 26th, the day of May and Glenn's wedding. :) We left Manila in the morning, arrived in Tagaytay at lunch time. The church wedding was a beautiful ceremony. I'm so happy for May and Glenn. :)

After the reception, we went to the house where we stayed for the night. The house had billiard tables and a videoke machine. :) I wasn't able to sing to my heart's content though because of a cold. :-'( The stay at the house was still fun nontheless. Time spent with my college friends always is a blast. :D

Then we got back from Tagaytay last night. Fun trip. Tiring, but fun. :) At least I can say that I was able to drive to Tagaytay and back to Manila... that's a long trip ha! Hehe :D

Friends, upload your pics please. :p

Beso

Paano ba makipag-beso-beso?

Hmmm... Di naman nakibeso. So selected people lang. Hehe.

Oo yata. Anyway, nung nagbabay din sina Kelly at Ghe, may beso ulit. O pati lalake? Dapat bang may beso? Kelan dapat?

Anyway, wala lang. Bigla ko lang kasi naisip. :)

My Weekend

Fun weekend for a number of reasons:

1. My brother just downloaded an official psp theme maker. Currently working on an FF7 theme. :p
2. Lunch + bowling with the 01s. Talo ang team ko though. Twice. Haha sorry! Di ako magaling (or dapat yata "hindi ako marunong") magbowling eh. Sayang, may badminton pa naman ang IML people this afternoon. Di tuloy ako makasasama...
3. I learned that my father has a Friendster account. My daughter Elma busy picture taking in Taiwan, Elma with a friend in Taiwan, Working on a project at UP...? My goodness... T_T

4. Dark Knight. Heath Ledger as Joker - bravo! Ang galing... wala na akong masabi. Basta ang galing niya...

5. Eye of the World. Wheel of Time's first book.

Gifts

Welcome-back-winston-01-get-together last night at Kroc Grille Shangri-La. People who were there: Winston, Liz, Lara, Kyle, Yugs, Dyan, Jeff, Norman, Arpee, Ige, Danes, Niño, Marien, and ArgElma. Winston is still Winston, though he has this new hairstyle. Haha Deh, medyo mahaba lang buhok niya than the normal hairstyles he sported in the past. :D And and and he gave me a Naruto comic book from Japan. :D I love it! (even though I can't understand what is written in the pages :p) I think I should resume my Nihongo self-study. Thanks again Winston! :D

Nakakatawa lang kagabi, after eating, we were supposed to go to Starbucks and you know... make tambay (yak so coño) and have coffee (for the sticker collectors). So we walked from Shangri-La to the Starbucks megastrip. And then pagdating dun, as in exactly the right moment na nakarating kami sa harap ng Starbucks, manong guard turned the sign to "Closed." Boo-ness. In Ige's terms, kumusta naman? Naglakad pa kami, malayo rin yun. Tsk.

And and and, another gift I received last night was Avenue Q tickets from Argel! Yay! :D We're gonna watch it on Dec 15 at RCBC Plaza. I'm sooooo excited! :D Thanks sooooo much dearie! :x

Ay. On another note. Last night, I came to understand that no matter how tough people may seem, they do get scared. As in. ;)

24 Hours

I woke up at 4am yesterday to get ready for the 2007 Engineering Recognition Rites (Enggchoir sang the national anthem, go the distance, and UP naming mahal). Hung out with Norman and Fil at PEL in the afternoon before we went to Kamayan for Norman's graduation dinner. Oh... and Dyan, Fil, and I bought him a couple of Bench underwear for his graduation. :D Though there were awkward moments at our table, people (two persons in particular) warmed up to each other (again) somehow and I can say that... Dinner was great. :D Ige, Liz, Dyan, Emil, Fil, Danes, May, Arpee, Jim, and Niña and younger Circuit mems were there.

Then the 01s (except for May who went home ahead of us) went to Tiendesit
as after dinner. Engr. Pugoy's treat ;). I had like... how many bottles of beer? I was so drunk I can't really remember...

I emptied a bottle! Nyahahaha

Hehehe joke lang. I didn't drink. I don't drink. Liz, Ige, and I just had mango shakes. :) Everybody else had beer. We stayed there until maybe 1 or 2 in the morning.

And then we went to Something Fishy for breakfast. Still Engr. Pugoy's treat ;). I wasn't hungry when we arrived so I just sat there and listened to people's stories. When I finally had some space again in my stomach for food, I ate breakfast. I suppose I was really sleepy after eating - I fell asleep at the table. They woke me up when it was time to go. I think this was around 3:45am.

Sleeping at Something Fishy. Pic taken by Norman.

I was supposed to be dropped off at Katipunan, but then someone asked me if I would be ok - I said yes. Then someone said something about nakatatakot naman and about me being matapang - I said, "Natakot naman ako...". Good thing Ige was kind enough to drive me all the way to Sta. Lucia. :) I have such good friends. :)

So I arrived home around 4am. I got ready for bed and went to sleep. One full day awake and I was in a dress. Even worse - I was in high heels. T_T My feet still hurt.

Hmm... after rereading the post, I realized I didn't actually mention anything we talked about (except for the nakatatakot thing). I guess the conversations were too personal or controversial for the bloggosphere to know (as Rex would say it hehe). :)

Norman, thanks for the stay at PEL and the dinner! And Emil, thanks for the breakfast and the mango shake! Ige, thanks for the drive home! :)

01 Outing

Meeting time: 6pm yesterday at Tropical Hut near Sta. Lucia.
My time of arrival: 6:15pm. :p
The only one who promptly arrived at 6pm: Marien (JM was there too pala, though hindi sumama sa outing). :D
Other 01s in order of appearance (if I remember it right, ganyan yung order ng pagdating nila): Ghe, Kelly and Ron, Dyna, Kuya Yugs,
May and Onin, Winston, Norman and Beth, Fil, Liz, Ige, Danyel (sa resort na humabol).

At Tropical with Norman. :D Picture taken from May's multiply account. Click here!

After dinner at Tropical Hut (high-end!), we went to the resort inside the village first. There were too many people though so we decided to go to Loreland Farm Resort in Antipolo. We were split into three groups, two went with Ige and May (they have cars :P) and one went to travel by cab. I was put in the cab group (with Norman, Kuya Yugs, and Winston) since I already know where the place is and I can give manong drayber directions.

In the cab, I was either laughing at anyone's hirit, or telling manong drayber which way to go. Sabi niya baka raw maligaw at ayaw niya mawala dun blah blah blah. Anyway, we arrived at Loreland without getting lost (unlike the other group... hehehe).

After getting parking spaces for May and Ige (galing ni Ige mag-parallel park sa masikip na space! haha kumusta naman ang tagaktak ng pawis?!), we went to the designated 'shades' for us somewhere in the corner of Loreland. Convenient spot.

And then we talked. Topics of discussion went from Bokbok and Poknat, to (as usual) Ige's magic tricks, to Liz's makulit na student and the terrifying date experience, to Ige's pagbabanda and trip to Singapore, to people's work, to ECE board exams, to 01 and beyond people, to high blood pressures, to winks... etc etc etc. We were munching Winston's pasalubong from Baguio while we talked: lengua, chocoflakes, and passion fruit. :D When Danyel finally arrived, we also had burgers.

Tapos swimming na! We changed into swimwear and looked for a not-so-over-populated-pool. The water was darn cold. I don't know how long we stayed in the water, but I left the pool with Liz and Danes when we couldn't bear the cold water anywmore. Oh, and I had a gulp of pool water. Ewwwwness. Topics of discussion in the pool: pigs, onin's chin (or the lack of it), floating, pda, abs, urine, number 2, height... etc etc etc. Marien and May didn't swim pala. :) They just stayed in the car and slept. :D

And then shower time na. And kwentuhan ulit dun sa shades. Yung iba, natulog. :) Around 6am, we left Loreland.
Fil, Beth, Dyna, Marien, and Onin were with May and went home. I was with Ron, Kelly, Ghe, and Norman in Ige's car; they stayed at the house for a while. Liz, Winston, Kuya Yugs, and Danyel took public utility vehicles to our house too.

Around 7:30am, we had Jollibee's beef tapa for breakfast. And also some watermelon. After eating, those who were sleepy took power naps, the others toyed with Ige's PSP-ing maganda or played the piano and the guitar. Winston finished the piano lessons for beginners book in 30 minutes. :D Among the his favorites (I think) are the pieces Mary had a Little Lamb, and Old McDonald, especially the part "
With a quack quack here And a quack quack there, Here a quack, there a quack, Everywhere a quack quack" Hahahaha.

At 10am, they left the house, and I slept.

End of 01 outing. I missed those guys. :p

Long Week

I've been staying out late (too late I think) for the past week.

Monday night
Walked from EEE to Vinzons with Argel at around 7pm. Then we stayed for a little chat at sunken garden. The little chat turned out to be a long one since 930pm na kami umalis dun. Hehe Arrived home around 10pm.

Tuesday night
Went to Booksale at Metro East to look for Anne Rice's Blackwood Farm. I found a copy but decided against buying it - the book wasn't in a very good condition. Then I went to Tropical Hut to buy Kuya some pasalubong.

Wednesday night
Dinner with Kuya Yugs, Lea, and Argel at Tokyo Tokyo sa Sta. Lucia East. And then we went bowling! :D It was my 2nd time to bowl... I think I'm improving.

Thursday night
I was just about to go home when I received a text message from Danyel about his thesis. Dumaan ako DSP, talked for a while and then sabi niya, "What the heck. Tara let's celebrate. Libre kita." So we went to Megamall, bought Krispy Kreme doughnuts, and watched Bridge to Terabithia. After the movie, we stayed a while at Seattle's Best for coffee, and finally went home. 1150 ako nakauwi.

Friday night
At around 9pm had dinner with Argel sa... I forgot the name. Sa may Teacher's Village (tama ba?) Anyway, the dinner was late because MS students and professors from IML went to Intel to attend the IPTS. We left Cavite at 420pm. Kaya lang traffic pauwi, and then near Market Market, biglang di makahinga yung driver namin. We left the hospital when the substitute driver who came from Mandaluyong arrived. Yun. 9pm na nga nakabalik sa EEE. Tapos dinner and ice cream plus kwentuhan. Tapos uwi na. Mga 11pm yata ako nakauwi.

Saturday night
The Gathering 4 after Squeeeze. Lalabas pa sana yung mga 01 (and beyond) people kaya lang umuwi na sina Jeff, Onin, and Danyel dahil hindi maka-decide kung saan pupunta. Naiwan kami nina Maam Roma, Kuya Yugs, Winston, and Argel sa parking lot. So when it started to drizzle, we were forced to get in the car, and then hinatid ko na sila - si Winston sa Molave, si Kuya Yugs bumaba sa may Petron Philcoa, si Maam Roma sa bahay nila sa Kamias, and finally si Argel sa KNL. And then I timed myself from KNL to bahay. 13 minutes! Haha mabagal yata yun.

Dami nangyari last week. Sayang, wala ako masyadong time to make kwento. Saka pwede sana itong Book of Daniel post. May high end elements eh... Krispy Kreme doughnuts and pictures ko (actually pictures naming IML people) na ginamit ng Intel. Hehe

And I finally have some origami paper thanks to Winston-kun! :D Binuksan ko kagabi, mukhang manghihinayang ako gamitin. Ang ganda kasi ng papel. Hehehe

:x

I hope everyone had a happy valentine. I know I had a happy valentine. :D

And after an hour, yan pa lang din linya sa taas ang nakasulat sa compose window ng blogger ko.

Why the happy valentine? Because I enjoyed the fair. Because of the rose I received from Kuya Yugs. Because of Argel's heightened appreciation for the Kawasaki rose-making process ;). Because Bamboo started the day haha! And especially because I got to hang out with 01 berks again. :D

Birthdays

It was Dy and Jeff's weekend birthday bash last night (happy birthday ulit!). Click here and here for Winston's and Niño's blog entries with pics. Naubusan na yata ako ng ikukwento.

It was a fun night! (Syempre libre eh duh) Hehe joke. But seriously, I had a great time. It's not often that I get to see the ECE reviewees, particularly CL(!). Yung iba at least nakita nung Engg Week. And nakita ko ulit si Ivan! Haha The last time I talked with him was last sem, and it was only a chance meeting along the AS/FC street. Sayang they had to leave early.

And hindi rin siya nakapagkwento because she had to concentrate on her eating, which I think, required a lot of effort from her. So unusual.

At parang medyo namaos ako kagabi.

Tomorrow, it's Kuya's turn to get older. Kainan ulit! :D

~~~
I just realized today that yesterday marked a year of blogging for me. 91 blog entries for the entire year... not bad I think. :D
Untitled
I woke up Monday morning with little red spots all over me. They itched. The red spots are gone now, but there are butligs in my palm and fingers that still are very itchy. I don't know if this is an allergy or what... but I do not remember eating anything that I haven't eaten before that could cause the allergy. Except of course, for the e-aji! mami bought. ;)
I just hope these things disappear before the next 01 gimmick, or before I can see Liz anyway. I can already hear her saying, "Aaay... San galing yang mga yan?" while stroking the spots on my palm... Just like the way she did with the spots on Ige's arm. Hahaha
Speaking of Ige, I had a dream last night, and he was one of the people in my dream (actually, some 01s were there). In my dream, the 01s were inside a mall I think. Then I said I'd go to the restroom. The restroom was weird. It had cubicle doors but no cubicles. Get it? There were doors, but when you go through the door, there are no walls that separate the toilets into cubicles. Only one person can use the "cubicles" at a time (since there are no walls and you can see other people...) and because of this, there were lots of people, men and women alike, waiting in line to use the "cubicles." When it was my turn to use one, I saw that Ige was one of the people waiting in line. And because the doors were really low that a tall person can see inside the "cubicles," he was teasing me, saying he can see me. Weird. Anyway, when I left the room, I discovered that I'm in a Chowking outlet. We left Chowking and we walked and walked. Suddenly I remember that I left my umbrella inside the restroom (though I do not remember having one before), so I said I had to go back to Chowking. I went back, and I saw Joe B. holding my umbrella. The end!
Hehe... dream interpretations... anyone? :D
Batangas Beach!
My first ever beach outing with my college friends just happened last weekend, and I loved every moment of it!
Six of us went to Batangas via Glenn's 5-million-peso land cruiser :D The rest (8 of them) traveled by public utility vehicles. It was a comfortable trip, with the aircon and the food and the singing. But it would have been better and a lot more enjoyable if all of us traveled together. Next time, we should have a more spacious vehicle.
Sadly, due to the "devastation of typhoon Caloy" (as we called it), the shore to Glenn's beach house was destroyed. The caretakers said they have not experienced a typhoon as strong as Caloy, and have not seen waves bigger than the waves the last typhoon caused. Sayang, di ko nakita yung place in its full beauty.
If there's one thing I have learned in this trip, it's the appreciation of goggles. I just don't know why. I have used goggles before, but it was only this time that I have fully appreciated its use. When I saw the fishes and the rocks under the sea... It was like, "Wow! I can see fishes!" I was so happy. Haha
The tambay hours was always fun, of course. We played games, made jokes, made tons of hirit, made kwento while eating, played poker, trash-talked the dog and the wrong neighbor... :D The dog ate the hotdogs and left only one piece. The neighbor... let's just say it was a case of mistaken identity. :D
Ha! I have so much to say but I don't know how to say it. It was just so fun and I loved the swimming. I hope for more outings like these. I love the water! (Though I didn't swim on the second day... which was good since the girls who did swim were "jollibeed" as liz would say it.)
Beach! Fun.
Oh, and one thing I'll add to my non-existent list of long-term goals: buy a car like the land cruiser. ;)
