Bugger Bugger Bugger

I have 3 paper reading assignments and a project all due tomorrow... but what was I doing the whole day? I've been out with circuit mems Norman, Lew, Enteng, Kel, Ezmo, and Gepol and naki-fiesta at Cai's house somewhere in Taytay, Rizal. We conveniently arrived at the house during lunch time :D. After eating, we had a movie marathon (Deuce Bigalow: Male Gigolo, My Bestfriend's Wedding, and Pirates of the Caribbean: Dead Man's Chest). I enjoyed the movie marathon, but the "interrogation" part after the movies was even better ;).

Back to School

My first class for the year will be tomorrow, but since I really missed EEE - circuit peeps, EEE friends, at pati na rin yung mismong EEE buidling - I went to school a day earlier. And I'm glad I did because I got to hangout with the people I missed :D

At IML: Winston, Yugs, Dean, Euge, Gian, Eduds, Benedict, Arnold, and Riley. Shocking appearance by Al - he now sports a short haircut. He looks more like a girl now than he did when he had long hair if you ask me. Hehe pero ayos ang gupit. Kamukha na niya si Glen. :D

Sa ckt tambayan: Pau and Pauee, Rose, Kel, Noel, A-Lo, Bananie, Jade, and other people. Haha di ko na maalala yung iba. I discovered Princess Hours is the new Koreanovela craze. :D

At CNL with Winston, Euge, and Al: Argel, Jeric, Prem, Joenille, at sige Despi na rin (ayos sa creative shot!). The short stay at CNL was fun! Eh lagi naman masaya kasama yang mga yan. Hehe :D

Naku kung may nakalimutan sa mga list na yan, pasensiya na. Haha

15 Hours of Sleep

3 hours less from last year's 18 hours of sleep after the circuit party. Buti na lang na-move yung IML party to last Thursday. Eh di hindi na naman sana ako nakapunta kung Saturday night yun. Tapos same reason pa - dahil hindi ako nagising. Haha

Anyway... Engg week is over. Yehey! Engg week was fun... until the Runway event started. Being cooped up for almost 2 days at engg 5th floor was not my idea of fun. And everything about the event was just wrong. The material for the dress was like... Kumusta naman? Color combination of brown, yellow, and orange - very stylish. One sewing machine for all participants. Great. And if you bring your own machine, you have to share it with other orgs - meaning 'pipila' ka rin para gumamit ng sarili mong sewing machine. 60 EWOC points for the 1st place. Wow. Encouraging indeed. Next year dapat wala ng ganitong event.

Miss Engg was, as usual, a blast. Dun lang sa event na yun ako napasigaw at napa-cheer for Circuit. I was not able to watch the whole event though - I had to go backstage to help the mommies dress Raffy up with the dress we did for the Runway. Backstage, you won't hear boos and cheers. Instead, your ears will get tired of hearing smile Raffy, tingin sa judges Raffy, project Raffy, kiss and smile Raffy, pose like this Raffy...

All I can say is... the mommies Nikki, Sarah, and Tintin (may nakalimutan pa ba ako?) did a very good job. Galing niyo! :D

And 1st Runner-up is not bad. Remember, it's a very important title to hold since you know... in case something happens to the current Miss Engg and can't continue her reign blah blah blah hahaha. Ang ganda-ganda ni Raffy!

A Night of Du-dus, Dut-duts, Oohs and Aahs

I discovered a lot, and I mean a lot of things from the overnight Awitan session. Some discoveries:

> Laurice = madaling takutin.
> Maraming Circuit mems ay High School Musical fans.
> Mas maganda si Ken.
> Before the overnight, hindi yata marunong maglaro si Lester ng Domino. "Bakit sa akin walang nakalagay?!" - Lester pertaining to his blank Domino tile. Ngayon marunong na siya.
> Pwede na maging nanay si Lea (may haplos ng pagmamahal ang kanyang pagluluto). ;)
> Ayaw din ni Rose at Bananie ng okra (tulad ko).
> Danes is an evil, evil person. Ang alam ko lang dati ay "Danes is an evil person."*

Yung iba, sa amin na lang. Hahaha Hindi ko na isusulat. Lalo na yung tungkol kay... :p Er... Malamang hindi kayo maka-relate sa mga pinagsusulat ko sa itaas. Haha Basta masaya yung overnight. :D

So kumusta naman ang Awitan? Hmm... Improving. But we still have a long way to go.

Mainam para sa 4-6 Katao*

Gagamitin ko muna pansamantala ang ating sariling wika (at ilang hiram na salita) sa pagkukwento ngayon.

Maraming nangyari sa araw na ito ngunit iiklian ko lang ang kwento.

Kumanta ang Enggchoir sa Engineering Convocation kanina sa Engg theater. Naging maayos naman yata ang aming pag-awit dahil pinalakpakan na naman ang aming doxology at national anthem (na hindi naman dapat pinapalakpakan).

Pagkatapos ng pag-awit (mga 2pm na yun) ay may meeting naman ako sa ASTI kasama ang aking mga guro para sa VHDL at FPGA training para sa susunod na linggo. Naging maayos naman ang pagpupulong.

Pagkatapos ay tumungo naman ako sa ckt lounge (mga 4pm) upang magpractice para sa awitan hanggang 7:30. Pagkatapos ng practice ay kumain kami - ako, fed, danes, eric, at riley - sa Kenny Rogers Katipunan. Naging masaya ang hapunan. Punung-puno ng katatawanan, dahil na rin kay fed, kay danes, kay riley, at kay eric (ok masaya kaming lahat), at sa crew ng Kenny Rogers at sa comment form (smile Louie!).

Marami pang nangyaring kakatuwa ngunit ako'y inaantok na kaya matutulog na ako. Magandang gabi!

*Mainam para sa 4-6 katao - good for 4-6 persons ang kinain namin sa Kenny Rogers.

2nd Sem

I'm officially enrolled for the sem. I have a Monday 6-9p class, an MTh 10-1130a (another Berkeley course - will only meet Mondays 10-12nn), and a Saturday 830-1130a (will meet 9-12nn).

I don't know what I'll do with Mondays. I want to bring the car so that I don't have to ride public vehicles at night, but... coding ang kotse namin tuwing Mondays, so I can't drive to school. I could go home after my 10-12 class, and then go to school again by car when the window for coding is open. Er... maybe not. Sayang ang pera. Or I could leave the house at 10am and bring the car, which will make me about 20 minutes late for my class. Hmm... Nah... I don't want to be late. Or I could ask kuya to make sundo me by car every Monday night sa EEE (wow so conio). Papayag kaya yun? Kung hindi, well... magdyi-dyip na nga lang ako.

I never received an INC during my undergraduate life... I know, there's a first time for everything. My EE225 grade was INC - and I really don't know the reason why. Anyway, I got the completion form just this afternoon and I couldn't believe the completed grade that was written there. A 1.25. And I thought I did way better with my Berkeley class last sem (except for the finals though). Haaay... Sayang lang lalabas pa sa transcript yung INC.

Awitan practices here at home every friday, 5:30pm. I won't be able to sing though, I heard Awitan will be held on a Monday night.

Ok, gtg. I still have papers to read, lab exercises to make, lab manuals to finish... Busy.

FR!

I had so much fun with my last FR (as a student). It's a good thing I made tambay at the start of the sem so I knew the then apps by name, and I enjoyed the things they did when they were blindfolded. The pub station was extraordinarily enjoyable, with the apps yelling their hearts out with the pub-the-best-forever-yeba-yeba-woohooo! cheer, courtesy of the dynamic duo A-Lo and RR. Of course the fin station was still the most controversial of all, and that was where I hurt my throat from yelling.

The place looked good, the rooms were freezing, and I loved the pool. Not for its irregular shape though. The water was warm and I enjoyed every moment of swimming, though I still have not learned how to swim.

Ooh, I almost forgot, the talent night before the FR was so dragging. There were just too many presentations, all equally long and anti-climactic.

The ride to Laguna was... not unpleasant but a little weird. I'm just not used to hear Norman and Gabo speak that way. Anyway, as I said, it was not an unpleasant journey. The ride back to Manila was much better, with Liz and Danes on board.

Anyway, I was so tired that when I got home, I changed into comfier clothes and slept... for 13 hours. :D

Rant

I don't want to see another pc again... Yet here I am... facing the monitor, typing my entry for the day. I have been in front of the pc for virtually 24 hours now. Last night was an overnight night at IML, and we did the synthesis of some blocks. We were synthesizing and simulating until around 2 or 3 am when we finally slept. I woke up late at 7:45am, and then ate breakfast, took a bath, had a prog rep... and again faced the computer. Ate lunch around 12nn, and again went back to IML and sat in front of the pc. At 2pm, kiko came for me, he took shots of eee and of melchor hall, and we went to his house to do the squeeeze logo and the squeeeze website layout. So we sat in front of the computer for more than 6 hours, just for the squeeeze logo we still weren't able to finish. Now, I am here... again... In front of the thing I hate.

One thing I realized while hanging out with Kiko is that he can be a mean guy. Haha. And he outlaughs me! Amazing. When Kiko laughs, he laughs really hard. Anyway, I had fun at Kiko's house... and his mom's lasagna was delicous. :D
