Haunted

Rant lang.

Medyo hindi kumpleto ang ARM7 implementation nung undergraduate thesis namin. Kaya naman ngayong gagamitin ito ng dalawang MS students sa IML for their thesis (and siguro ako rin in time... siguro lang), kailangang ayusin ang hindi ayos (darn you new synthesis tool), at sadly... assigned sa akin ang paggawa ng exceptions. Haaay...

~~~
I had a full rest day again (wow, parang pagod na pagod kahapon eh no?). Laro lang ng PS2 at basa ng novel all day. Hehe
Happy!
This is the first time that I'm actually going to write an entry for my blog with me here at IML. It feels a little... weird. :D
I'm happy! Yay! I'm happy because thesis is finally over, though the documentation and other requirements related to it still need to be done, but basically, after sleepless nights of simulation... thesis is finished. :D
I'm happy because I can feel (again) that I have a boyfriend. :D
I'm happy because the sem is nearing its end... but that also makes me sad. I'm going to miss a lot of people.
Haaay... another thing I hate about the sem ending is my busy-ness state. There are so many things to do... with so little time.
Like right now... I'll be going back to work. :D
Of Movies... and Food... and Thesis! :D
After my ES1 final exam last Sunday, I planned to buy a blouse for the final presentation for thesis just this morning. We circled the mall for almost 3 hours. We? Yes, we. Because Danes was with me. Ha! Was he tired. :D It was a good thing Liz came, for who knows how many more hours of walking we might have done if she never came. Approximately after an hour of meeting up with Liz, we bought the blouse and some snacks, and finally went home... to watch Brokeback Mountain. :D It's a good movie. A sad one, but good. I plan to watch it again maybe this weekend, without any interruptions. :D
Anyway, Liz and Danes ended up staying overnight. It was Danes' fault - he really took the time to fill his 1-page candidacy form. We didn't sleep, instead, we went to EEE early (Liz went home), and we slept in our respective labs.
The thesis final presentation is over! Yay! :D I'm so happy. And with only a few questions form the panel! :D And with only minor revisions for the documentation! :D After the presentations, we went to Glorietta to celebrate and watched V for Vendetta. Actually, I didn't want to watch that movie because I felt that it would have a very heavy topic. But while watching it... the movie was just so good that i liked it... no... i *loved* it. It's one of my favorite movies now, with the setting, the editing, the music, and especially the dialogue... everything! Everything is beautiful, natalie portman was beautiful. I'll have to watch it again. :D
After the movie, we went to eat at Dads. I had the Saisaki, a buffet of Japanese food. Yum yum. I tried everything that I felt like trying and oh boy... the food was delicious. I especially liked the tempura, and also the maki. Yum yum. Mmmm... Yum yum. Delicious... but expensive... but delicious. :D
So there, thesis is over, there's still the documentation though. But still... one big requirement for graduation is almost done. Now I'll just have to make a way to pass CE22 and CoE197a. Go, go, go! Must graduate on time! :D
Tired
I am tired. And with barely three weeks before the sem ends, and before the thesis ends, I know I will get more tired as the days unfold before me. I don't like it. I don't like it one bit. And on top of the academic work load on my shoulders, I am getting tired of what's happening... rather... of what's not happening between me and my supposedly boyfriend, who suddenly developed habits like smoking, not telling me his plans, not replying to any of my messages... haaaay... Life sucks.
Rant
I don't want to see another pc again... Yet here I am... facing the monitor, typing my entry for the day. I have been in front of the pc for virtually 24 hours now. Last night was an overnight night at IML, and we did the synthesis of some blocks. We were synthesizing and simulating until around 2 or 3 am when we finally slept. I woke up late at 7:45am, and then ate breakfast, took a bath, had a prog rep... and again faced the computer. Ate lunch around 12nn, and again went back to IML and sat in front of the pc. At 2pm, kiko came for me, he took shots of eee and of melchor hall, and we went to his house to do the squeeeze logo and the squeeeze website layout. So we sat in front of the computer for more than 6 hours, just for the squeeeze logo we still weren't able to finish. Now, I am here... again... In front of the thing I hate.
One thing I realized while hanging out with Kiko is that he can be a mean guy. Haha. And he outlaughs me! Amazing. When Kiko laughs, he laughs really hard. Anyway, I had fun at Kiko's house... and his mom's lasagna was delicous. :D
Spell Check
Two weeks ago, I volunteered to do what I think was one of the worst jobs in the world - collating our thesis group's halfway documentation. My eyes and my arms hurt from being in front of the pc too long. I was up until the wee hours, clicking away with the mouse and ctrl-c-ing and ctrl-v-ing...
I did finish the job (my thesis mates would have killed me if I didn't) and we submitted it on time. But not without tons of errors. There were typos... words were spelled incorrectly... there were even duplicated words. The most hilarious mistake was pointed out by Marco who printed the third part of the document. In the List of Figures, there was Figure 3-2. Schematic Diagram of Cock Generator. What?! We looked at the page where the figure was... and there it was... the Schematic Diagram of Cock Generator it is. I must have been very sleepy at the time I was typing that I didn't notice there was no letter 'l'. And to think that we submitted that document to our thesis advisers, to the 198 handlers, and to our panel.
I learned my lesson. I will not volunteer to collate for the final documentation. I'll volunteer to do the proofreading instead. :D
