Numbers

300 php - worth of unleaded gasoline I usually load back in 2003.
500 php - worth of unleaded gasoline I usually load these days.
14.699 L - amount of unleaded gasoline that 300php can buy then.
10.800 L - amount of unleaded gasoline that 500php can buy now.
127.146 km - distance I can travel with 300php then.
93.42 km - distance I can travel with 500php now.

Back then, I just take the car out whenever I feel like it. Now, I have to give it some thought if I really do need the car when I go out. Will oil prices ever go down? ='(

Boo New Rules

Late last sem nagstart ang rule na No Permit, No Overnight sa EEE.

Students are allowed to stay in their labs only until 7pm. 7pm! At bawal na raw ang overnights. Ang saya no?

Haaay...

I had a full rest day again (wow, parang pagod na pagod kahapon eh no?). Laro lang ng PS2 at basa ng novel all day. Hehe

Oh no...

Tomorrow is the deadline of the paper submission for this year's Tencon. And why did I wait until tonight to submit our paper? Now the site is too busy that I can't log in! T_T I had that paper done two weeks ago! T_T This is baaaaaad... baaaaaad. T_T

I'm Bored

I'm at IML and I'm bored. Wala si Dean the cool guy kaya wala akong maasar. Boring. And everybody else is busy here so I can't disturb them. Euge has been checking CoE113 MPs since morning, Yugs and Benedict are working on their 198 project, and other people here are doing academic work. As for me... well... I'm waiting for 6pm to arrive by leafing through Wiki pages -

T_T

Dean just told me. No 298 class today. Apparently, Ma'am Tata sent a text message to everyone in class (we are only 5 or 6 in class) so naturally, I didn't received the message. I've been waiting for nothing! Time to go home...

I Did It Again

Cram that is. I had three weeks vacation and I'm doing my reading assigment due tomorrow morning only tonight. What's my excuse? I forgot. And tonight, dadi and my granduncles from the province - who arrived just this morning - are videoke-ing their hearts out. Huhu can't concentrate on my reading... T_T

Nga pala, I'm having difficulty accessing certain sites with my dsl connection including blogs, wiki, haloscan... ayun. Can't make comments on your entries muna for now... unless I want to wait for more than half an hour to load a page. T_T

Vacation?

I don't think I'm going to have a decent Christmas break. The reason: an EE290Q project. Honestly, I think the project is not that difficult, but since I'll be using TinyOS for the first time... I have yet to learn how to use it, and I think that's what is going to make this a little hard for me. I have already installed the necessary packages and tried the simulator with sample files... but there seems to be a bit of a problem - some file can't be located. The error message says that re-installing everything *might* solve the problem. I pray it does. Will do that tomorrow, as my time in using the pc is almost over - my brother is going to use it next (wow, parang computer shop, may schedule). Hmm... I think I need a laptop.

Huwat?!

I thought my sem was over. Ooooh how wrong I was. I just got news today that the 3rd exam for EE225 will still push through. But it's my fault, really. I mean... since the finals week is over, I just assumed that there won't be a 3rd exam anymore. Haaay... I hope Sir Marc remembers what he said - that it will be a take home test.

I hate it when I have a cough and/or a cold because it's difficult for me to breathe - maybe because of my asthma. And laughing makes breathing even harder for me to do. Just a little while ago, Liz called and we talked over the phone and I laughed and laughed and laughed (kasi naman nakatatawa kinukwento niya di ba?) and now I'm having a very difficult time breathing. Pinigilan ko na ngang tumawa dun sa chat namin ni Fil eh, pinatawa naman ako ni Liz. Laughter is not the best medicine in my case.

Conversation with my not so little brother:
Peyt: Eh? Break na kayo ni allan?
Me: Oo.
Peyt: Bakit?
Me: Ewan. Tanong mo sa kanya. Haha
Peyt: Eh. Alisin ko na siya sa family (pertaing to ym group). Lagay ko na lang siya sa others.

Rants and Not Rants

FFXII is out but I can't play it unless my brother has had 20 hours of gameplay and I am itching to experience what people have said to be the best installment in the FF series - yes, better than FF7 they say. Kuya has played what... 3 hours in 2 days? I may have to wait a little bit longer for this.

~~~
I have been waiting practically all day for the completion of one of my downloads. It was around 10am when the download stopped at 99.54%, and it has not resumed since. It makes me so frustrated.
~~~

Just switched to blogger beta. Yay! I have been waiting for the switch-to-blogger link in my dashboard for quite a while now, and I was so excited when I saw it just a few moments ago. I'll explore what blogger beta has to offer soon enough (when I have nothing to do).

EE225 exam on monday moved to Thursday! And problem set due tomorrow, deadline moved to Monday! Sir Marc can really be very considerate. The exam was originally scheduled last Oct 1. He thought it was a Saturday, but we informed him it was a Sunday so he moved it to Oct 2 (Monday). But a student requested the exam to be moved to Thursday (Oct 5), and he replied by moving the exam to Monday (Oct 9). And then just this afternoon, he sent an email saying the exam is moved to Thursday next week (Oct 12). Should I be happy? I should be since it gives me time to study more - reading 3 chapters of the book for the past three days has not enlightened me at all. I barely understood any of it. :(

In Front of the Computer

With both my brothers addicted to online gaming these days, I rarely get the chance to use the computer. And when I do get to use it, either I'm doing an assignment or finishing tasks given by Ma'am Joy or Sir Marc. I'm not too happy about it, but arguing with my brothers over the computer is not exactly my idea of fun. At least they let me use the PC when I really need it, but hey... I also want to enjoy the benefits of having a DSL connection. I want to watch anime, download music, surf the net for leisure and not for research... Yes, there are a lot of PCs at IML, but I can't use it for personal interests since they are (supposedly) for academic purposes only.

Well... I'll just have to wait and hope that their addiction to online gaming follows an exponentially decreasing curve.

Rant

I don't want to see another pc again... Yet here I am... facing the monitor, typing my entry for the day. I have been in front of the pc for virtually 24 hours now. Last night was an overnight night at IML, and we did the synthesis of some blocks. We were synthesizing and simulating until around 2 or 3 am when we finally slept. I woke up late at 7:45am, and then ate breakfast, took a bath, had a prog rep... and again faced the computer. Ate lunch around 12nn, and again went back to IML and sat in front of the pc. At 2pm, kiko came for me, he took shots of eee and of melchor hall, and we went to his house to do the squeeeze logo and the squeeeze website layout. So we sat in front of the computer for more than 6 hours, just for the squeeeze logo we still weren't able to finish. Now, I am here... again... In front of the thing I hate.

One thing I realized while hanging out with Kiko is that he can be a mean guy. Haha. And he outlaughs me! Amazing. When Kiko laughs, he laughs really hard. Anyway, I had fun at Kiko's house... and his mom's lasagna was delicous. :D
