Sundo

Last night at around 7:30 pm, my aunt who lives in Australia called to tell us she was coming home for a 3-week vacation, and she would arrive here in the Philippines today, ETA at 5:40 am. Talk about short notice. Hehehe

So I woke up at 3:30 in the morning and left for the airport with my younger brother at around 4am (Argel was supposed to go with me, but three people at the back would be a little uncomfy - my aunt's husband is a little big, plus they have handcarry stuff). It was early, so there was no traffic. :D

I did not exactly know how to get to the airport, so I asked people for directions last night. Gordon suggested the C-5 - Fort - Bicutan exit - Airport, but I do not know the Bicutan exit part. Papa Jeff suggested the Baclaran route, and he even provided me with a map. :D Look at the map he made. It even has traffic lights, and SM Mall of Asia's Giant Globe. :D Thanks again papa Jeff!

We arrived at the airport just before 5am. We did not wait for long though because their plane landed early (ATA was 5:16am).

And now we're back at home. We actually arrived here at 6:40am. The car rested for just a few minutes in the garage, then kuya took it to work (bagong pintura lang, dinadala na sa office!).

Yun lang. Tutulog muna ako ulit. Aga ko nagising eh.

Numbers

300 php - worth of unleaded gasoline I usually load back in 2003.
500 php - worth of unleaded gasoline I usually load these days.
14.699 L - amount of unleaded gasoline that 300php can buy then.
10.800 L - amount of unleaded gasoline that 500php can buy now.
127.146 km - distance I can travel with 300php then.
93.42 km - distance I can travel with 500php now.

T_T

Back then, I just take the car out whenever I feel like it. Now, I have to give it some thought if I really do need the car when I go out. Will oil prices ever go down? ='(

Tatlong Kwento

Long overdue post... :p

Loverage 2: Outloud!
Ok... another backstage concert, thanks to whoever thought of giving the alumni backstage passes. For the nth time, I saw band members up close... although I didn't really know know any of them... but what the heck, I saw Bamboo again, and that's what counts the most. :D

And I finally saw Cholle! My goodness! She's super thin! Hehe :D

Rock Meets Romance
Valentine's date. Morning. Meeting time, 9am. Dumating ako? around 9:50. :s Oh no... oh no... I'm screwed. I woke up late because I woke up early. Gets ba? I had a dream that I wasn't able to meet Argel on time, then nagising kasi ako ng mga 4:30am because of my brother's alarm clock, tapos di na ako makatulog dahil natatakot ako na baka mangyari nga yung nasa dream ko. And tadaaa! Gising ko, 8:19am. T_T Nakaalis ako ng bahay 9am, and traffic papunta sa Libis so... :s Haaay... Oh well...

Lakad lakad, then nood ng Spiderwick Chronicles. And then, kain sa Don Hen. :D Tapos tapos music na naman!

Start na ng Rock Meets Romance Concert. Isay Alvarez and Robert Cena sing broadway songs! Yeah! Kinanta pa nila yung isa sa mga paborito ko, Sun and Moon from Miss Saigon. Yeah! And then, after nila, Bamboo naman! Woohoo! Ang gwapo ni Bamboo dun. Super clean tingnan, as in. Ayun, tapos syempre, galing niya magperform, as always. :D

And then uwian na! Yay! Ang saya. Nagleave pa siya from work for the date. :D I feel so special. Hehe :*

JS Prom
Hehe Hatid and sundo. Sa school lang naman, not in some fancy hotel or whatever. Pero kasi madaling araw yung sundo eh. 4am. Ok lang naman. Haha

Oh well... Tsk tsk.

Ali!

Today, I went to Pampanga with Argel for a fiesta. The difference from the first time I went there? Hmm... It's definitely less scary going there (but still scary nonetheless), and... we drove to Pampanga! Hah! I cruised the NLEX... I'm so happy. :D And and and... I remember just now that I saw this commercial a while back, saying that sa NLEX, tipid sa gas or something to that effect. I didn't believe it then, but now I totally do. :D So there... I drove... Argel did too, by the way... :D for a while. Hah! It won't be long now before we trade places... Him behind the wheel and me in the passenger's seat. :D

Ay ay ay... we also went to mass pala sa Pampanga. Too bad for me though... the mass was conducted in Kapampangan. T_T Argel tried to translate what was being said... But it proved to be a difficult task considering he'd have to listen and talk at the same time. :s

Then there was the food. And the food... and the food again. Until now, I am so full. There was just so much food. Really. And everything just tasted good. No, not good. Great. :D And pinagbalot pa kami. Kami meaning Jeric, Aga (they arrived around noon), and I (and Argel). Aga is one of Argel's officemates. Jeric? Need I introduce Jeric here? Hehe

And then back to Manila again! Long day, but definitely a great day. :D That's all for kwento, gotta watch House! :p

Sa EDSA

Ilang beses na rin akong nakapagdrive sa EDSA for the past two weeks... Twice yata or thrice. So anong nangyari?

Roadtrip

I'm tired. I drove for almost 6 hours (I think) with breaks in between naman. Tiring... But I had fun. :D I was with Liz and Danes and we went to Taytay, Binangonan, and Antipolo to look for a resort for the 01 and beyond gimik/outing next weekend.

First stop is Casanjo Garden Resort and Casanjo Garden Resort I. Both resorts are just inside the village. CGRI is smaller than CGR (but I think it is nicer). Too bad it's already booked for next weekend.

Next stop, dinner at Red Ribbon, Taytay. :D After eating, we went to Club Manila East. The road leading to the resort is dark. We toured the place for 5 minutes. Club Manila East is big. And people can even go canoeing. Nice. The remaining 10 minutes (we were given 15 minutes to inspect the place) we spent on the seesaw. Did you know that Liz's and my weight put together equals Danes' weight? Hehe

Hmm... Where did we go next? I forgot. Was it the Scrapyard Resort? Anyway... we weren't able to see the resort because it was closed daw and the absent-minded manang nagbabantay wouldn't let us in to look at the place. We got a brochure though. The place looks nice in the pictures. But who in the world decided to name it Scrapyard Resort?! It's like Crapyard Resort with an S. Duh. And crapyard doesn't sound really good, d'you know what I mean?

After that, we tried to go to Fiesta Resort somewhere in Binangonan. But then the steep uphill road was kinda spooky, and creepy, and scary, that we decided to go back the way we came. Haha What a bunch of cowards.

Next I think is the resort with the double-swing (I forgot the name). Too many people... too much noise. Liz and I loved the double swing though. :D

Then we again tried to go to Fiesta Resort, this time, in Antipolo. We didn't find it (or maybe we just didn't exert much effort looking for it?) and decided Fiesta Resort is not destined for the gimik. Hehe On the way back to the main road, we saw another place (I forgot the name... again). This one is fairly priced... but it's booked for next week too. We had merienda here pala. Treat ni Danes. :D

Next, Cattleya Farm Resort's view overlooking the city lights was like... wow. Ang ganda. Ang ganda talaga. :D Yun lang. Hehe The place was good. Maganda yung view. Haha ang kulit. Basta maganda yung view. :x

And then... Loreland Farm Resort was the last resort we visited. Now this place is huge. Really huge. Napagod kami nung libutin namin yung lugar. Tapos ang dami pang paakyat at pababa kaya mas nakapapagod. But the place is great. There's even a spa inside the grounds where you can get a massage... and, and, the view is overlooking the city lights too. Nice.

There. Roadtrip over. Uwian na. :D First time to drive to Taytay, Binangonan, and Antipolo area. Night driving pa. Hehe Fun, tiring, exciting, scary... Namiss ko si Liz! Masayang kasama sina Liz and Danes. :D

Bike/Motorcycle

I discovered something today. Hindi marunong mag-bike si Winston. Nyahahaha

Anyway... first time ko makasakay sa bike/motorcycle (Ano ba yung kay Yugs? Di ko kasi alam eh. Or pareho lang ba yun?) Sa EEE parking lot lang naman ako, unlike Dean who even took the street and ventured out to CS. Next time siguro, if Yugs permits. Hehe The short drive was... short. Hahaha Isang ikot lang and then tapos na. And the wind felt nice... ang lamig. :D

bike/motorcycle dati for transpo from bahay to UP to bahay. Dati pa naman ito, before dadi decided to let me take driving lessons. Ok, back to Yugs, sabi niya parang turn-off daw yun, yung girl na naka bike/motorcycle.

Driving

I drove to school today. It was the scariest driving experience I had. I brought the car because I didn't want to ride PUVs to school since it was raining hard. But it rained even harder when I was about to turn right to Katipunan road, so I can barely see anything around me. I was so scared of hitting another car, or of another car hitting me, thinking the if-I-can't-see-them-then-they-can't-see-me thought. Then I noticed red lights in front of me, and I realized that they have turned on their headlights so I must be seeing their taillights. I turned on mine too... and drove slowly. After a few minutes, the rain turned into a drizzle, and eventually stopped just as I arrived at the campus. It was a good thing that for the ride home, the rain started when I was near Ligaya, so it means the village is near. Otherwise, it would have been scarier because aside from raining, it was also getting dark, lessening visibility even more.

Have you watched the movie Shutter? I think there was a scene where the guy was driving and when he looked at the rearview mirror, he saw a bloody lady seating in the backseat. What if that happens to me? I would probably scream... and then the ghost would probably think, "Woohoo! Another victim!" But that's just my speculation. I mean, I don't know if the ghosts' job is really scaring people.
